While on Instagram today, I realized how many incredible artists are posting about Kacey’s new album as well. It warmed my heart! See some of our favorites below…
There is nothing more attractive than someone continually striving to master their craft. Allowing your creative output to evolve synonymously with who and where you are in your life is essential to the artist who gives a shit about the quality of their platform. But when surrounded by a popular musical climate that encourages complacency and awards the mediocre, it is truly a brave feat. Ever the does-what-she-fucking-wants creative woman, she knows what’s up. As a comrade, I strongly champion this new wonderful work. And the timing and talent of two very special creators, @tronian and @thesilverseas, was the magic in the wind on this thing. They were wild pilots unafraid to fly over the unknown. I can also say, from periodically stopping by the studio, the love for this project and the patience of @craigalvin was indispensable. I couldn’t be more proud. Kacey Lee you special bird. BUY IT LOVE IT DO MUSHROOMS TO IT.

Kacey Musgraves announced today on Instagram that we will be hearing two new songs from her in six days! We’ll keep you guys posted when the songs come out! So exciting that a new Kacey era is among us!
We’ve also added this beautiful new (high-quality) image of Kacey to our gallery. We’re assuming this one was taken by Jamie Nelson as well as the other two new photos we’ve seen. Kacey is also featured in the March 2018 issue of Texas Monthly magazine. Enjoy these new photos below.
In an interview with “Entertainment Weekly,” Kacey said the new music would have a “trippy” slant with the music influenced by everyone from the Bee Gees and Neil Young to Sade. We also believe some of the new songs are named “Velvet Elvis”, “Space Cowboy”, “Wonder Woman”, and “Butterflies”. All of these songs are ones she has been implementing into her set list while she’s on the Breakers tour with Little Big Town.
We are also hoping to hear a fan favorite, “Rainbow” make its way onto the new album. Overall, we are so excited to see what 2018 has in store for Kacey and us as her supporters! Let us know what you think in the comments, and be sure to check out this gorgeous new photo of Kacey that she posted on Instagram. We have a large version of it in our gallery for you!

Texas-native and Nashville-based singer/songwriter Kacey Musgraves will be releasing a new single, “Biscuits,” to country radio March 16th. This will be the debut single from her upcoming Mercury Records Nashville sophomore album which follows up GRAMMY “Best Country Album” and ACM “Album Of The Year” winner, Same Trailer Different Park.
“Biscuits” was written by Musgraves, Shane McAnally, and Brandy Clark, and will be available at iTunes March 17th.
“I’m very proud to be kickin’ things off with Biscuits! I think it’s the perfect preview to the record we had SO much fun making,” exclaimed Musgraves. “The sound of this song represents so many of the things I love about country music. And be warned – it may inspire a square dance.”
Musgraves is currently on the road headlining her ‘Same Tour Different Trailer’ tour across the US.
We now have a new song from Kacey Musgraves to add to our devices to blare in our cars this summer! Lots of fans have heard Kacey perform “The Trailer Song” on her tours over the years, and we even have a free live download of the song here, but now there’s finally a studio version!
Are you guys as stoked for this as we are? I really hope this song makes a big impact on country radio so more people realize how amazing Kacey truly is. Read the article below:
The fourth single from Kacey Musgraves’ ‘Same Trailer Different Park’ album isn’t nearly as risky as her last, or the two before it. ‘Keep It to Yourself’ is a straight-forward country heartbreak song that finds the singer turning the corner on the depression that often comes after a bad breakup.
Musgraves performs the song in the same understated way she sings almost everything on ‘Same Trailer …’ ‘Stupid’ may be the one exception to the quiet coffee shop tone she’s made her signature. This isn’t to say her words lack impact, however. Once again, the Texan’s sharp songwriting is on display.
“You turn on the light then you turn it back off / ‘Cause sleepin’ alone, yeah, it ain’t what you thought / It’s the drip of the sink, it’s the click of the clock / And you’re wondering if I’m sleepin’,” Musgraves sings to begin this song.
Some will say this is Musgraves’ most “pure country” release to date, and production-wise, that holds true. Piano and the familiar whine of a pedal steel power the moodiness of this ballad. Lyrically, her stories have always been expressions of real life events, which is one definition of country music. The packaging for ‘Keep It to Yourself’ is just easier to hold and access.
“Keep it to yourself / If you think that you still love me put it on a shelf / If you’re lookin’ for someone, make it someone else / When you’re drunk / And it’s late / And you’re missin’ me like hell / Keep it to yourself,” she adds in the chorus.
‘Follow Your Arrow’ received a ton of attention, but not much radio airplay. ‘Keep It to Yourself’ is vanilla by comparison, but like everything Musgraves writes and records, the song takes a familiar experience and makes it sound very unique and very fresh.
Why Fans Will Love It: The understated love song expresses how many feel as they begin to get over a broken relationship. It’s nice to have a song like this that doesn’t involve violence.
Key Lyrics: “When you’re drunk / And it’s late / And you’re missin’ me like hell / Keep it to yourself”
Did You Know?: Musgraves has a lot riding on her current relationship with boyfriend Misa Arriaga. He’s a key member of her band, playing guitar and often adding backing vocals.
Dierks Bentley released a new music video for his song featuring Kacey Musgraves “Bourbon in Kentucky.” Kacey isn’t in the video, but if you haven’t heard the song, you can hear it now and watch the video.
Who says you can’t go back? Certainly not Kacey Musgraves, who is celebrating a return to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with her debut album, Same Trailer Different Park.
The project, which has spawned the hits “Merry Go ’Round,” “Blowin’ Smoke” and “Follow Your Arrow,” popped back into the top seat after Kacey’s performance of “Follow Your Arrow” and win for Best Country Album on the Grammy Awards Feb. 2. She also received a second Grammy award for Best Country Song for “Merry Go ’Round.”
Congratulations to Kacey and her team. And tune in to the season finale of Austin City Limits on PBS this Saturday to see more of Miss Musgraves.
